The RíOrganize Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day, everybody! You know organization and home content is our jam, but every once in a while we want to mix in a little something extra like today’s V-Day gift guide. This was really fun to put together and I thought it might be a good resource for you (read: your husband) if you’re in the market for some Valentine’s Day gifts!

I tried to cover just about every person you might be buying for from the guy in your life, your bestie and of course your kids!! Also, you know Conner had to put his two cents in on this so if you do need something for your husband, brother, dad, etc., his section is gonna be your go-to!

  • Griller

    • Meater Plus - Super convenient tech that tells you everything you need to know about cooking meat. Poultry, beef, fish, etc. just place it in the meat, put it on the grill or in the oven, and the app does all the work! It tells you when to pull the meat off the heat, how long to let it rest, when to serve—everything. Stop guessing, start using SCIENCE to cook your meat!

  • Golf Guy

    • Perfect Practice Putting Mat - Used by PGA tour pros and a quarantine staple for any golfer. You can have interactive tournaments with other users too if you’re looking for a little friendly competition. I’m a fan of the drills it has programmed to improve your putting stroke. Stop leaving strokes on the green and get your putter dialed in.

  • Tech / Nerd

    • Logitech Harmony Elite Remote Control and App - If you aren't quite ready to chew off a full-blown integration kit, such as Control4, this is a great entry-level way to universally program your TV remote and accessories. You can program the remote to work with Alexa, use voice commands to change channels, volume, turn on/off your TV, etc. It’s super convenient and helpful in a house full of kids where the remote is constantly moving around.

    • iRobot Roomba i7+ with Clean Base - OK, so vacuums for holiday gifts come with some obvious undertones. But in addition to being a vacuum, this is also a ROBOT that cleans, maps your floor plan, and empties itself. Minimal intervention is needed, you occasionally have to clean out debris from the rollers, but other than that you can set it, and forget it, and let Roomba clean for up to a few weeks without even thinking about it. Crucial for pet owners, or for people with daughters (yes, it effectively gets all that hair!).

  • Camper

    • Leatherman Skeletool - I have tried, owned and carried multiple different pocket knives/multi-tools over the years and this particular multi-tool is my absolute favorite. It is the perfect blend of function, practicality, size, and weight. It has all the tools you would need to be able to get through your day. It can cut open packages, tighten screws around the house/office. It won't replace a toolbox, but it is very useful for your everyday needs. And, that color scheme.... whew.

    • Solo Stove Ranger Backyard Bundle - This has been a staple at our houses ever since we bought it. Super convenient and an easy way to get a backyard "bonfire" going. Gives off an insane amount of heat due to the design and the way it burns the fuel. You can burn a full cord of wood and literally have nothing left to clean up when the fire is finally out. Just pull off the top, dump out the ash (what little is left), and store it for the next use. Accessories are the real winner here—the kids ask to roast s'mores pretty much weekly with the s'mores kit.

  • Tool Guy

    • Milwaukee Electric Ratcheting Bit Driver - This is my go-to screwdriver for just about everything. If you don't have a ratcheting screwdriver, you should. It makes every little project/task so much easier. This particular screwdriver is built like a tank—you can tell it will hold up to whatever you throw at it. It comes with multiple quality bits to tackle your everyday tasks around the house and is super helpful in those tight, hard to reach spots.

    • Milwaukee Packout Modular Tool Box Storage System - What an organizational game changer this has been for me. This system, which can be kept super simple or built out to serve even the heartiest contractor, is a great way to keep your gear organized. This is a modular system that is built to last— sturdy, contractor-quality pieces that stand well on their own, and are absolutely irreplaceable once you accumulate the right pieces. Start small, buy a few part/bit organizers and expand your system as needed. They have small boxes for bits, fasteners, etc. all the way up to crates that can move your heaviest tools. The coolest part about this system is that you can fully customize it for your exact needs.

  • Reader

    • “American Kingpen: The Epic Hunt for the Criminal Mastermind Behind the Silk Road” - One of the most fascinating modern crime stories I have read. This book tracks the founder of The Silk Road—a one-stop black market dark web shopping site. Think Amazon for guns, drugs, and any other thing you can dream of. The book details the rise of the network and the ultimate demise of its founder, Ross Ulbricht. Well written, supremely well researched journalistic tale of one of the most unique "criminal" masterminds of our time.

    • “Beyond Band of Brothers: The War Memoirs of Major Dick Winters” - Most WWII obsessed people, myself being very much someone that fits in that category, have read, re-read, watched, and re-watched Band of Brothers - the journalistic recap of Easy Company and their march through France, Belgium and eventually into Germany where they captured Hitler's palace, The Eagle's Nest. This book, written by one of the main characters from Band of Brother, Major Dick Winters, is a first-hand account of the memoirs written by Winters during Easy Company's campaign. It gives incredible insight into the psyche of the officers, the morale of the men, and the leadership qualities that made Winters one of the most famous/well-respected officers to have served in WWII. Anyone interested in leadership should absolutely read this book. Winters is an American hero and this book gives a lot of insight into the way he thought, led, and approached war. Must read.
